Ivy

Maryland

Ivy is a creative soul with a passion for reading novels and comics and hanging out with her friends and her pets. Already, Ivy has won awards for her writing, and she dreams of becoming a published author and writing for TV or film. At her high school, Ivy started a Neurodiversity and Disability Group with a few friends and looks forward to meeting more disabled people her age at EmpowHer Camp.

Madelyn

Texas

“You’re never fully dressed without a smile!🙃”

Madelyn is a rambunctious and musical teen from Texas. As someone who loves building fires, Madelyn is ready for camp and very excited to meet her future EmpowHer besties. Madelyn describes herself as a strong-willed person open to trying new things. When she is older, she plans to study music and work in the music industry, possibly as a composer. She also hopes to stay involved in the disability community.

Chelsea

North Carolina

"Be Loyal To What Matters"

Chelsea describes herself as compassionate, having gained empathy through the dark times she's experienced in her own life. Chelsea is proud that she will be graduating high school this year, and she plans to attend college to study agricultural science. Her dream job is to be a field agronomist. Chelsea cares for more than 20 different orchid plants, and in her spare time she enjoys crafting and listening to country music. She previously volunteered as an ambassador for the Tourette Association of America.

Solen

 Montana

“Normal is boring.”

Solen is an animal lover and is proud of working with a local animal rescue. Besides hanging out with animals, Solen adores Ariana Grande and the Hamilton Soundtrack. When she graduates, Solen hopes to go to Yale University and become an animal behaviorist. Solen describes herself as persevering and is looking forward to building community at camp with other strong disabled women who want to make an impact.

Aurelia

Wisconsin

"That's my plan".

Aurelia is an athletic and empathetic teenager with a love for swimming, hiking, ballet, and cycling. When she grows up, Aurelia hopes to be a dolphin trainer at Shedd Aquarium in Illinois. A big fan of music, Aurelia loves listening to Taylor Swift, the Hamilton soundtrack, Tracy Chapman, Luke Combs, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Oldies music.

Avery Grace

South Carolina

“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13

Avery Grace describes herself as talkative and is proud of her roles on the track and swim teams. She attended prom with her boyfriend and hopes to attend college at the University of South Carolina. Avery loves swimming, riding horses, doing puzzles, reading books, going to church, and playing games on her ipad. At EmpowHer Camp, Avery looks forward to hiking and making new friends around the campfire.

Bri describes herself as creative; she loves to design and create art. She also finds joy in taking walks, sewing, sketching, listening to music, and letting her creativity flow freely. She is excited to attend camp and learn survival skills. She is currently celebrating graduating high school and she looks forward to a future where she owns her own interior design business while also serving others in her community.
