Disability EmpowHer Network Receives $25,000 from the Gupta Family Foundation to Empower Girls with Disabilities

May 17, 2024 -Disability EmpowHer Network was recently awarded a $25,000 grant from the Gupta Family Foundation to support the organization’s mission to connect, motivate, and guide disabled girls and women to grow, learn, and develop to their highest potential and have the confidence to lead.

 

Disability EmpowHer Network is a national organization led by and for girls and women with disabilities that provides programs and empowerment for disabled women and girls to learn new skills, find community and mentorship, and boost their confidence. Support from the Gupta Family Foundation gives Disability EmpowHer Network the ability to reach more women and girls with disabilities across the country through skill-building programs such as EmpowHer Camp, a year-long youth leadership development and mentoring program, and more. 

 

Gupta Family Foundation is a private, nonprofit foundation whose mission is to support organizations that provide focused intervention in the lives of people who have been disadvantaged in some way to help them become self-reliant. 

 

Stephanie Woodward, Executive Director of Disability EmpowHer Network said, “We are thrilled that the Gupta Family Foundation recognizes the importance of uplifting and empowering disabled women to reach their full potential. Thanks to their generosity we will be able to reach more women and girls with disabilities and provide opportunities for connection, learning, and increased confidence.”

Disability EmpowHer Network is a non-profit run by and for girls and women with disabilities that connects, motivates, and guides disabled girls and women to grow, learn, and develop to their highest potential and have the confidence to lead. The organization has several programs that teach participants independent living, career, and leadership skills while building their confidence and providing opportunities for social connections.
